Over the River and Through the Hills

Time it Takes to Read:

So I took this trip with my little boys up to River Falls, Wisconsin.  It is about an eight hour drive from my home here in Elkhart, Indiana.  We only made one stop on the way up there!  My boys were amazing!  We made one stop, and ate countless granola bars and applesauce packets!  It was an amazing trip and my boys were fantastic.  Aside from the little bit of bickering that the boys did, they were angels!

When we got there it was pure joy for my boys and their Grandpa, my father!  Big hugs and smiles were abound and my kiddos could not have been more excited to be at Grandpa and Grandma Holmes’ house.  The boys were extremely happy to be out of the car!

As soon as we got there, the boys went inside to find the yorkshire terrier, Chester! And that is where they found him, all ready to lick the boys faces with his stank dog breath!  Which of course I could smell it on the boys later at bedtime.

After all that fun!  Mommy came and met us up there!  We were so happy to see Sarah!  We forgot to take pictures!  But Sarah and lil Kenny went to the fireworks and Grandpa, Bradley, and I stayed back and hung out!

The next day we went to Ikea and got the boys new beds!  It was a fun trip home!  They didn’t fit the greatest, but we got home and created the beds!

It was a great trip!  The boys love their new beds, and they love being able to sleep above and/or below one another!  They think it is great fun!  Naps are so much easier, too! They love playing in their bed!  Especially the bottom bunk where it is like a “cave”!

So, then we all needed haircuts!  And we got them!

And the haircut got me back in the good graces with my wife!  We had a date night at an awesome restaurant called, “Temper Grille,” in Mishawaka, Indiana.
