It’s time to make a move! It is time to set fitness goals… Rather it is time for me to move: walk, jog, run, do more biking, do situps, pushups, feed the deer, ride a pony, feed the deer, and ride again! I have tried this cycle in the past and have not had very many great results, results – yes – just not what I wanted. This time I have a little lower expectations to accomplish my goals. I am looking for better cardio and to trim some of the fat (eventually most of it), but I realize it takes time. I am hoping that those of you that do read my blog help me keep myself accountable!
Exercise Log
Yesterday 6-13-2022
1/2 mile on the elliptical – 20 minutes distracted by phone
Today 6-14-2022
1/2 mile on the elliptical – 10 minutes
50 crunches
10 pushups
Note:
It’s not about keeping up with the Joneses; rather, it is about becoming healthy again. Looking at photos from my past I realize that I have let myself become complacent with my fitness goals and I am hoping to be much healthier and have fun doing it. My overreaching goal will be to ride at least 200 miles this year on my mountain bike. I am 7 miles into that goal now!
Overall Fitness Goals
In order to reach goals – goals have to be set. Here are my beginning goals (I will add this to every blog from here on out within the fitness journey.
Current Weight: | 350 lbs |
Height: | 73″ |
Age: | 40 |
- Lose 25 lbs in the first 3 months
- Be able to run 5 miles again
- Increase cardio
- Start slimming
- Increase energy
- Create fitness goals and meal plans that are attainable and achievable within a realistic standard
- The meal plan will not remove or create a diet; rather, be more conscious of my eating habits
- A fitness plan will not require me to hurt myself to be obtainable
- Plans in the past have often hurt or injured me for being too hard and “working through the pain”
- I will post both up on a separate page of my workouts
- I will probably not post videos of me working out.
- I will have a photo of the equipment that I use and link to it
- Get back into it slowly and hopefully realize that it’s not a race and that it takes time to be able to get back into shape and into fitness again.
Well from here on out, I am working on getting these fitness goals done right, tortoise style – that way I can be sure that I am doing it right! If you have any questions or comments hit me up on the comments or on the contact page!
Until next time:
PEACE
